Ean’s remastering of Vestax’s flagship DJ controller is available today for preorders, and we’re very excited about this one. The Ean Golden Edition of the VCI-400 features a complete redesign, our Chroma Caps, the craziest DJTT mapping yet, and custom firmware. Virtual DJ Software, MP3 and Video mix software. VirtualDJ provides instant BPM beat matching, synchronized sampler, scratch, automatic seamless loops.
Today’s post is about another product from DJ Tech Tools. Vestax early this year released the VCI-400, their newest installment in the digital DJing world, after being somewhat inactive for the year or two before. This controller is a comprehensive attempt to give the Digital DJ complete control over his effects, cue points, loops, etc. It also is pretty much completely mappable to any arrangement the user desires.
I’ll admit, when I first saw the VCI-400, I was a bit leery of having to map the whole thing out to what I wanted it to be like, and I wasn’t overly excited about the pre-mapping provided with the device (for VDJ and Serato only), so I shied away from this device, even though I was looking for a good new digital platform that gave me complete control.
Vestax Vci-400 Ean Golden Edition
My apprehension ended when I saw that DJTT came out with the VCI-400 Ean Golden Edition. The mapping and firmware that they put into this controller was exactly what I was looking for.
Here’s the video that DJTT had for the release:

I still haven’t received the controller yet, since DJTT told me that on the release they had some problems with customs on getting them into the country (? thanks customs), but as soon as I receive it (hopefully by Tuesday) I will post my own personal review. But overall, I’m excited to have a controller with so much versatility! I’m especially excited about the wild effect controls that are already pre mapped into the controller, and who knows, I may take the time to tweak the mapping to my own specifications just for fun. 🙂
